Commercial Device Engineering Co-op

At Medical Devices Center of Excellence, our job is turning concepts into reality. We begin with a


concept and then we build a framework to realize it. The goal is to find creative ways to improve our


products and processes and turn possibilities into real benefits for our patients. We are responsible for


medical devices & combination products that covers advanced drug delivery (including device-drug


product qualification testing), diagnostics and eHealth (software and connected devices).

The Co-op Student: The co-op student will join a dynamic team in Commercial Device Engineering to


support the development and commercialization of medical devices and combination products that


impact patients? lives. A robust portfolio of products will hit late stage development this year and in the


next couple of years. We also drive continuous improvements to sustain commercial devices and


combination products that support more than 7 billion dollars? worth of business.


As an engineering co-op, this student will provide support for late stage development projects and on-


market commercial devices and combination products. If you are driven to create better health and a


brighter future, join us! As a student, you will be working on :


? Collaborating with cross-functional team members from development, quality, and regulatory to


progress projects from development to commercial manufacturing


? Supporting design transfer of medical devices and combination products


? Supporting technical activities for validations and risk management (FMEA)


? Organizing documentations to support project progression


The student will gain additional skills, including (but not limited to):


? Knowledge of device design, testing and functions


? Data analytics and statistics


? Knowledge of device and combination product regulations


? Analytical skills and critical thinking


The student will have the following required minimum skills:


? GPA of 3.0 required (GPA 3.3 or greater preferred)


? Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)


? Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting


? Past experience in the medical device industry is a plus but not required
